This listing is for a one of a kind beautiful handmade ceramic serving plate with a gorgeous white horse surrounded by white flowers, design done in sgraffito technique. This platter would be a wonderful home gift for someone who loves the cosiness of cottage core aesthetics.

This original clay platter is handbuilt and decorated using white underglaze and food safe transparent glaze.

At first I built the plate using fine terracotta clay. Once the softness of the clay had dried to reach ‘leather-hard’ stage, I applied white underglaze and drew as well as carved out the design complete with beautiful white flowers.

Next, the decorated plate went into the kiln to be bisque-fired at 1000 degrees Celsius. Then I added transparent glaze, and it went into the kiln again for the second firing.

This plate is entirely food safe. It can be put in a dishwasher, but I would recommend washing it by hand.
