IT’S HANDMADE

This unique, one of a kind ceramic piece is an original design, conceived and executed by me. This mug is entirely handbuilt in earthenware, using the slab building technique.

Creation of this unique functional artwork was a slow and thorough process which took several weeks altogether.

Once the piece was created, I let it dry to reach the so-called ‘leather-hard’ stage. During this stage I painted it with underglazes, which took several hours, as the design is intricate and detailed.

Then I let it get fully dry. Later the mug was fired in a kiln to bisque. Afterwards I covered it with transparent glaze, and it went into the kiln again.

This beautiful one-of-a-kind hand-built mug could also work as a unique storage for tiny items, and be an original addition to your home decor.
