This listing is for a one of a kind ceramic wall mask with native art inspired design. The hand-painted design is created with colorful underglazes and meticulously painted by hand.
This original ceramic object is entirely hand-built and painted using various underglazes and food-safe transparent glaze.
At first I created the mask using fine terracotta. Once the softness of the clay had reached ‘leather-hard’ stage, I applied underglazes and drew the design. Then I let the mask get fully dry.
Next, the decorated mask went into the kiln to be bisque-fired at 1000 degrees Celsius. Then I added transparent glaze, and it went into the kiln again for the second firing.
This beautiful, one-of-a-kind ceramic artwork will be a beautiful addition to your home decor.
