IT’S HANDMADE

This listing is for a one of a kind ceramic wall decor. It is entirely built by hand as well as handpainted with colorful underglazes, using sgraffito technique.

This original ceramic artwork is entirely hand-built, carved and painted using various underglazes and food-safe transparent glaze.

At first I created the decor using fine terracotta clay. Once the softness of the clay had reached ‘leather-hard’ stage, I applied underglazes and drew as well as carved out the pattern. Then I let the piece get fully dry.

Next, the decorated artwork went into the kiln to be bisque-fired at 1000 degrees Celsius. Then I added transparent glaze, and it went into the kiln again for the second firing.

This beautiful, one of a kind wall art is very tactile, with carved lines against smooth transparent glaze, which add to it’s charm. It will be a beautiful addition to your home decor.
