This listing is for a one of a kind ceramic wall shelf with native art inspired pomegranate design. The hand-painted pattern is created with colorful underglazes and meticulously painted and carved by hand.

This original ceramic object is entirely hand-built and painted using various underglazes and food-safe transparent glaze.

At first I created the ceramic shelf using fine terracotta clay. Once the softness of the clay had reached ‘leather-hard’ stage, I applied underglazes, carved and painted the design. Then I let the decorative ceramic shelf get fully dry.

Next, this ceramic decor went into the kiln to be bisque-fired at 1000 degrees Celsius. Then I added transparent glaze, and it went into the kiln again for the second firing.

This beautiful, one-of-a-kind ceramic artwork will be a beautiful addition to your home decor.
