IT’S HANDMADE

This listing is for a one of a kind ceramic wall shelf with native art inspired pomegranate design. The handpainted pattern is created with colorful underglazes and meticulously painted and carved by hand.

This original ceramic object is entirely hand-built and painted using various underglazes and food-safe transparent glaze.

At first I created the ceramic shelf using fine terracotta clay. Once the softness of the clay had reached ‘leather-hard’ stage, I applied underglazes, carved and painted the design. Then I let the decorative ceramic shelf get fully dry.

Next, this ceramic decor went into the kiln to be bisque-fired at 1000 degrees Celsius. Then I added transparent glaze, and it went into the kiln again for the second firing.

This beautiful, one-of-a-kind ceramic artwork will be a beautiful addition to your home decor.
