This platter would be a wonderful home gift for someone who loves the cosiness of cottage core aesthetics.\u003c\/p\u003e \n\n\u003cp\u003eThis original clay platter is handbuilt and decorated using white underglaze and food safe transparent glaze.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eAt first I built the plate using fine terracotta clay. Once the softness of the clay had dried to reach ‘leather-hard’ stage, I applied white underglaze and drew as well as carved out the design complete with beautiful white flowers.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eNext, the decorated plate went into the kiln to be bisque-fired at 1000 degrees Celsius. Then I added transparent glaze, and it went into the kiln again for the second firing.\u003c\/p\u003e \n\n\u003cp\u003eThis plate is entirely food safe.
