Design is created with vibrant underglazes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThis original footed plate is entirely handbuilt and hand painted using underglazes and food-safe transparent glaze.\u003c\/p\u003e \n\n\u003cp\u003eAt first I built the object using fine terracotta clay. Once the softness of the clay had reached ‘leather-hard’ stage, I applied underglazes and drew the design with folk-style motif and let it dry fully.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eNext, the decorated piece went into the kiln to be bisque-fired at 1000 degrees Celsius.
