Once the softness of the clay had reached ‘leather-hard’ stage, I applied the underglaze, carved and painted the design. Then I let the decorative ceramic shelf get fully dry.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eNext, this ceramic decor went into the kiln to be bisque-fired at 1000 degrees Celsius.
