The hand-painted pattern is created with colorful underglazes and meticulously painted and carved by hand.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis original ceramic object is entirely hand-built and painted using various underglazes and food-safe transparent glaze.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAt first I created the ceramic shelf using fine terracotta clay. Once the softness of the clay had reached ‘leather-hard’ stage, I applied underglazes, carved and painted the design. Then I let the decorative ceramic shelf get fully dry.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNext, this ceramic decor went into the kiln to be bisque-fired at 1000 degrees Celsius.
